You need to add chelated iron to your water as it’s one essential element that does not occur naturally in a closed aquaponics system. This type of iron is in the form that your plants need to thrive. Lack of iron will show with respect to pale leaves and stunted growth. The 500ml dry mix uses 2 ml per 10 US gallons or 38 L of water. It’s also only $9.99. You will need to add a tiny amount to the water that you add to your system.
Construction Tips
- If you’re using disposable plastic drinking containers, use a soldering gun to cut the plastic to have controlled, perfect cuts!
